Play in 16-bit color depth[edit]
Learning AI system only runs properly in 16-bit color depth mode. Windows 7 only provides compatibility mode with 8-bit color depth (256 colors).
12noon's Display Changer and the Windows batch script below can be used switch the system display to 16-bit during the game automatically and switch back to 32-bit, without manually changing the Windows display modes.
Automatic 16-bit mode instructions[3]
Download and install Display Changer.
Copy C:Program Files (x86)12noon Display Changerdccmd64.exe (64-bit) or C:Program Files12noon Display Changerdccmd.exe (32-bit) to <path-to-game>.
Open Notepad or your favorite text editor and insert:

Alternate automatic 16-bit mode instructions
This method creates a Windows shortcut that will let Display Changer automatically restore your original color depth after the game exits. D3d driver install.
Download and install Display Changer.
Create a Windows shortcut to Display Changer by right-clicking your Desktop and selecting New > Shortcut.
Browse to C:Program Files (x86)12noon Display Changerdc64.exe (64-bit) or C:Program Files (x86)12noon Display Changerdc.exe (32-bit).
Press Next.
Enter a name for the shortcut, such as VF2.
Press Finish.
Right-click the new VF2 shortcut on your Desktop and select Properties.
In the Target field, go to the end of the line, add a space, and append this: -depth=16 '<path-to-game>'

I used on windows 10 Ver 2004 SO 19041.84 and all good.
The advantage here is the ability to run a program in the operating system that it was designed for in the first place. VirtualBox and VMWare are some of the more common options available and is accessible for Windows, Mac and Linux users. (Mac users can also use Boot Camp and Parallels.) It could've been release earlier or on a different platform. ive played it 95/98 DoS. Guy loaded a bunch of games on computer this was one of em, which happen to be my most memorable from 90s.
